In a world where people often resort to wars and violence, peaceful life and social equity is rare. Slavery is a system existing in towns. Sybil is a slave of a Baron and she must shoulder a heavy workload day and night. As slaves, she and her husband can’t get rid of control of their baron. In the baron’s eyes, they have no right to talk with him. Even though they shoulder a heavy workload and earn meager salaries, they must pay a large rent to the Baron. If they can’t pay it timely, they will be sent to jail. When Sybil is pregnant, her husband is sent to jail for helping a friend and praying for the baron’s mercy.
